October 2023

Nneeaaooow! And that was October - it has flown by, we have clocked up some miles with shoots in Kent, Bristol, Plymouth and of course London, throw in both my kids’s birthdays and half term, it’s certainly been challenging to stay on top and focussed. I have made some time for myself in the pool as per my love for all things swimming which remains as a constant in my life. I am also learning French - Tous les mardis, I have previously been dispatched to France and other French speaking countries on assignment, we're currently planning a longterm project in France - Surveillez set elapse.

Below is a shoot we delivered for McDonald’s as part of The Franchise Project 2023 - you can see some of our previous work here.

This month we were also sent to Kings Cross to photograph Mr Thomas Heatherwick - what a lovely man who didn’t mind us rearranging his studio the morning we visited, he made some great points in the interviews here and here, if you have an interest in the Built Environment you should read them - words by Mr Tom Lowe.

SEPTEMBER 2023

INCOMING, RIBA PRESIDENT MUYIWA OKI

Always feels good kicking off September with a marquee shoot, it was an absolute pleasure working with RIBA President Muyiwa Oki just before the start of his presidency less than a month ago. RIBA’s first black president - In the time we spent together at Portland Place - I discovered Oki’s main way of operating ‘is, generally to ask for forgiveness, as opposed to asking for permission” I’m really looking forward to seeing what pioneering changes are made during his presidency.

We recced a few days before to ensure a smooth on set experience for everyone involved, many thanks to the RIBA staff for being so acommodating.
